Customizing Featured Category Gallery in Wordpress

Customizing Wordpress with the Featured Content Gallery plugin from iePlexusWordpress, being a great platform for blogging, is slightly limited when you start wanting to make little tweaks here and there. I quickly became frustrated when I wanted to really customize the look and feel of the category pages. By default, the category pages are displayed in an archive manner, which is fine for most.
